Sharing Environmental Information (Brussels, Square Meeting Centre, from Nov 29, 2010 09:30 AM to Dec 01, 2010 12:30 AM)

The event will begin with an exchange of ideas between the members of environmental organisations in the member states (EIONET), the European Environment Agency (EEA) and relevant international organisations, on further practical steps to be taken in the SOER, SENSE and SEIS processes. It will focus on various aspects of the environmental information system (monitoring, data, indicators, assessment, policy, legislation, etc).

CIS Working Group F Thematic Workshop "Floods and Economics: appraising, prioritizing and financing flood risk management measures and instruments" (from Oct 25, 2010 09:00 AM to Oct 27, 2010 04:30 PM)

As part of the 2010-2012 work programme for the Working Group on Floods (WG-F) of the Common Implementation Strategy, a thematic workshop on Floods and Economics will be organised in Ghent (BE), 25-26 October 2010, back-to-back with the 8th WG-F meeting on 27-28 October 2010. The thematic workshop is part of the WG-F activities looking at the implementation of Directive 2007/60/EC on the assessment and management of flood risks (Floods Directive).

EU Water Framework Directive - CIS Working group C groundwater (Bruges, Crowne Plaza Hotel, from Oct 06, 2010 09:30 AM to Oct 07, 2010 05:00 PM)

In the frame of the Common Implementation Strategy, Working Group C will work on the assessment of groundwater status. Attention will also be given to input for the review of annexes I and II of the Groundwater Directive. A special session will be organised on interaction of groundwater with ecosystems.
