Joaquin: cleaner air better health
Research shows that air pollution has a major impact on our health. The fight for healthy air requires a cross-border approach. Under Joaquin (Joint Air Quality Initiative), 16 organisations from 4 different countries (Belgium, France, United Kingdom and the Netherlands) joined efforts towards the development of a more health-relevant air quality policy.
Joaquin was supported by INTERREG IV-B, A European programme that promotes cooperation between regions from different countries.The project finished in 2015.
