BE GOOD pioneering in the development of innovative services
The BE-GOOD (Building an Ecosystem to Generate Opportunities in Open Data) project aims to improve the innovative performance of SMEs in North-West Europe.
BE-GOOD: what and why?
BE-GOOD is a pioneering project focusing on the development of innovative services for SMEs. The project aims to re-use and extract value from public service information. This is possible by developing innovative and data-driven services in the field of environment and infrastructure. At present, a number of barriers restrict the market for public service information services:
- Lack of experience with data publication.
- Limited attention for the commercial applications of public sector information.
- No interface exists between public service information and SME solutions.
Purpose of the BE-GOOD project
BE-GOOD stands for 'Building an Ecosystem to Generate Opportunities in Open Data'. The purpose is to develop ten operational prototypes of novel commercial services generated from public sector information. Examples are applications, visualisations, software or algorithms for traffic management, air and water quality monitoring, and infrastructure maintenance planning.
Within the BE GOOD project we developped the API Cleanest air route and the Waste water tracing algorythm
